What is LMIGuardianSvc.exe, Uses, and How to Remove it?

LMIGuardianSvc.exe is an executable file that is a part of the software package named LogMeIn Pro, which has been developed by LogMeIn, a software company. LogMeIn basically a screen sharing software. LogMeIn Guardian Service is responsible for running a process in the background which generates LogMeln error reports for the LogMeln server for analysis. It is not an essential Windows file and is used only for LogMeln programs.

The full form of LMIGuardianSvc is LogMeln Guardian Service.

File Size and Location

LMIGuardianSvc.exe is supposed to be located in a subfolder of Program Files under C drive. It should be located under C:\Program Files\LogMeln Hamachi\ folder. Sometime it could be located under “Program files (x86) directory”. This file has numerous variants which occupy different spaces on windows XP/7/8/10. Some known sizes are 0.37, 0.40 MB, etc.

LogMeIn is a renowned multinational company. The product LogMeIn Pro is a genuine product by LogMeIn and the LMIGuardianSvc.exe belongs to it. So, it is a genuine and trusted file and should not cause problems.

However, some viruses replicate the name and appearance of the original file in order to fool people. To avoid any harm to your system, you must make sure the installed LMIGuardianSvc.exe file is the authentic LogMeln file or some virus or malware, hiding its identity.

So, it’s always recommended to run this application if you have any doubts about any program. In case, the installed LMIGuardianSvc.exe file is a virus, it will be detected here and you can subsequently remove it.
