SS2Svc32.exe is an executable application and is a part of Sonic Suite II, which was developed by Asus Tek Computer Incorporation. This Sonic Suite is mainly used for audio effect and is not an essential part of the Windows operating system.

Its full form of SS2Svc32 is Sonic Suite 2 Service (32-bit).

In plain language, SS2Svc32 belongs to the Sonic e Suite 2 that comes with an Asus laptop. The main function of Sonic Suite 2 is to improve the sound quality, bass, virtual surround sound, volume control, and much more.

Sonic Suite offers Windows users an interface for managing and enhancing various audio effects. It usually exists in Asus Laptop.

Is it safe or virus

SS2SVC32.exe is a legitimate application by Asus and is not malware or virus.

However, if the file is not in its standard system location i.e. C:\Program Files\ASUSTeKcomputer.Inc\SS2\UserInterface or if its size is abnormally larger than 2.5 MB, then it could be malware.

There are a few other files like aaHMSvc.exe and HControl.exe that belong to Asus.

Common Errors

Some common errors encountered with ss2svc32.exe are:

  • End Program – ss2svc32.exe. This program is not responding
  • SS2Svc32.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.

These errors can be caused due to:

How to remove it

There are two ways to remove SS2SVC32.exe:

  • By going to Control Panel and searching for Sonic Suite 2. Once you find it, uninstall the program.
  • By going to the location path of the utility’s uninstaller and removing the program directly from there.
