The Rpcapd.exe uses ports in order to connect to the remote computer. This .exe might also come along with NET Traffic Meter software.

Rpcapd.exe is a component of this library. Rpcapd.exe is the remote daemon that does the capturing and sending of data back to the local client. Rpcapd.exe isn’t a core file of Windows. It is essential to check that the .exe is in C:\Program Files\winpcap\. If Rpcapd is not located on its default directory then it may be a Trojan. To ascertain that the file is trustworthy users should assess its size and if it is signed by Verisign. This can be done quickly using the task manager and Microsoft Process Explorer.
